We currently have a variety of opportunities available to join our bindery/finishing teams located at YM Chantry, York Mailing and Pindar Scarborough Ltd.  These include opportunities for the following skill sets :- perfect binding, stitching (including Ferag), mailing, folding and guillotine.  Ideally, you should also have experience of managing a crew and working as a team to produce quality work to tight deadlines.

We offer competitive salary packages, various working patterns predominantly based around 12 hour shifts and plenty of opportunities for career development and progression.

We currently have a variety of opportunities available to join our print production teams located at YM Chantry, York Mailing and Pindar Scarborough Ltd.  This includes both No 1 and No 2 Printer positions operating web-offset presses (including Lithoman, Polyman, KBA 72 page, Goss – M600, M4000S, M5000) and also Sheetfed Litho Printer positions (KBA)  Our press configurations range from 16 to 72 page, including both long and short-grain, along with extensive digital print capabilities offering clients a variety of formats all printed to the highest quality standards.

Due to our continued growth & new product lines we are now looking for Blow Line Supervisors working continental shifts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the running of the Blow line Department. Responsible for improving processes, maximizing the productivity of the department and ensuring the best solutions and services. Responsible for ensuring the department is run in the most efficient way. Manage all aspects of conflict and difficult situations. Set out operational standards and affective performance management. Forecasting demand and ensuring resources are available to meet demand.

Main Duties and responsibilities

  • Work as an integral member of the management team
  • Overseeing the day to day running of the Blow line Department
  • To ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner
  • Report in daily to Fulfilment Manager
  • Manage and evaluate the performance of employees in your Department
  • Ensure adequate resources are in place
  • Check standard of work/quality to ISO 9001
  • Check machines are kept to a good maintenance standard, cleanliness of department and work areas.
  • Liaise with Fulfilment managers to ensure job deadlines are achieve
  • To identify and lead process improvements and implement
  • Ensure KPIs are achieved
  • Maintaining machine speed
  • Health and safety, taking reasonable care for both yourself and other employees who may be affected by what you do or do not do and co-operating with your employer, correctly using work items including personal protective equipment in accordance with training or instruction and not interfering with or misusing anything provided for your health, safety or welfare
  • Any other reasonable requests as requested by the business
  • Maintaining machinery ensuring running effectively
  • Continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience of working/managing staff
  • In depth experience of working managing shift patterns
  • Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations

Due to our continued growth we have some new opportunities for you to join TLG as a full time Warehouse Operative in Leeds. If you are driven and motivated to succeed, this is the position for you!

To assist the Warehouse Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate deliveries
  • To collect and/or deliver various items for all departments
  • Loading and unloading stock from the racking using a fork lift or pallet trucks
  • Preparing goods for delivery which may include weighing, shrink wrapping and strapping pallets
  • To prepare delivery and collection notes
  • Update information on MIS as required.
  • To adhere to the Company’s Health, Safety and Environment Policy.
  • To assist in other areas as and when required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Counterbalance FLT License
  • Fully Trained on counter Balance and narrow aisle trucks with a paper clamp attachment

Benefits

  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays

Shifts

  • Monday – Friday 6am – 1.30pm, 1.30pm – 9pm or 9pm – 6am optional overtime Saturday & Sunday – £19,000 – £21,000 dependent on experience
  • Friday Night, Saturday nights & Sunday nights 6pm – 6am – £25,000 – £27,000 dependent on experience

To assist the number 1 operator on the finishing line in meeting the planned output for quality, volume and yield to customer requirements and to achieve performance targets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Position reels and feed paper into the machine
  • Taking the product off the end of the machine
  • Moving pallets with a pallet truck
  • Quality control
  • General assistant duties
  • To adhere to the Company’s quality, Health & Safety, Environment and information and Data Security, Chain of Custody Policies, Procedures and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Counterbalance FLT License – advantage
  • Previous experience working in a similar environment will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to use own initiative and good organisational skills
  • Excellent attendance and time keeping

Responsible for the overall running of the Scheffer finishing lines. Responsible for improving processes, maximising the productivity on your daily shift, and ensuring the best product is produced. Responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of the machine during your shift.

  • Work as an integral member of the Scheffer Department
  • Operating scheffer line and maintaining productivity
  • To ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure that any maintenance needs are resolved as quickly as possible
  • Understanding machine cads, so you are able to complete in a timely manner the make readies for each job.
  • Organise your staff on a make-ready so make readies are completed in the time allocated to each job.
  • Ensure the correct paperwork and dockets are completed daily
  • Ensure quality checks are carried out

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Oversee any production issues whilst operating Scheffer line
  • Liaise with your manager to ensure job deadlines are achieved
  • To identify and inform your manager of any product/staffing issues
  • Manage any breakdowns and repairs within the Scheffer Departments
